At the HYP*MOL (https://www.hypmol.net/) retreat, Yasir presented his research on implementing a molecular ruler for distance measurements in biomolecules as part of the project A2. The approach combines site-specific dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP), paramagnetic solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. The distance measurements can subsequently be integrated into AI-based structure prediction tools for modelling proteins and protein–nucleic acid complexes.

For his contribution, he was awarded the first poster prize, together with his fellow PhD students from the A2 project. Congratulations!
